Codecs

Divx - Download the newest DivX codec
The DixX codec is an important video codec today as a lot of videos are encoded with this particular codec.

Xvid
Another popular video codec you should have is the Xvid codec.

MPEG-4
A new audio and video codec which is causing a lot of headaches since it is new and most media players do not come with a preinstalled codecs to handle this format. Visit 3ivx and choose your platform on the right hand side of the page to download the codec.

AC3
An audio codec which if often used with high quality video files, you can download it here.

Plugins

Flash
Lack of the Flash plugins may prevent you from fully using the site. Download Flash

Media Players

QuickTime Player
You'll need the latest version of QuickTime Player.

Windows Media Player
Make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Player.

Power DVD
If a video will not work in Windows Media Player but you know that you have the latest codecs, try using a DVD player like Power DVD.

VLC Player
It's the player that plays "everything". If in trouble download VLC Player.

iTunes/Winamp
There are the most popular options for playing audio files.

Misc

Scroll down to either "DVD,SVCD,MPEG2 Players" or "VCD,DivX,AVI,MPEG1 Players" and try one of those listed media players. We have not tested all players so we can't guarantee anything. So far, friends of the site have found success with a program called VideoLan.

Other Programs

Adobe Acrobat Reader
This program is used to keep formatting, etc. consistent in your documents. If a file has the extension .pdf then you need Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Winzip
Most of the downloads SBO offers will be compressed files. This program allows the user to decompress one or multiple files. If our files are password protected, the password is SandraBullockOnline (case sensitive). Download Winzip

This program works very much like Winzip and may be needed at times.
